All and all disappointing experience. Way overpriced for the portion size and quality of the fish and chips. Fish didn’t taste very fresh. Meat was kinda floury, and the batter was kinda soggy. Chips also floury. Almost as if they were frozen and not cooked properly. We ordered the “large” portion sizes at top dollar and were utterly underwhelmed and super disappointed when a tiny sliver of fish and a handful of chips arrived. Do not waste your time and money at Fishaways.

This was the worst ever meal I had from any fish place in South Africa. I ordered a medium grilled hake with calamari and received a piece of fish with flour still stuck on the sides and the fidh inside all dried out and cold. I am sorry but I will never ever order or allow any of my family to buy a meal from Waterstone or any other Fishaways in South Africa for thst matter. My order number there was 64 on 31st Dec 2020. I do have pictures available for your managers to show your staff how to loose customers fast. Not thank you.

Food is great, but the staff is completely incompetent.
For the last 4 times I’ve ordered food from here, they managed to get my order wrong. They will definitely damage this outlets reputation and sales.

This is an edit to my previous review, Unfortunately the quality did not stay the way it was and neither did the portion sizes. One day we got great quality and a good size portion, the next it was very different . I can only suggest a more uniformed approach to sizes and quality

Not bad value but limited menu and a bit slow. Ordered from Steers next door at the same time and they were ready nearly 10 minutes faster...

Loved the family platter we ordered but the person who answered the phone was impatient and rude and didn't get the order right.

I have never been a fan of fishaways but tonight the branch at Waterstone Village has converted me. Platter for one was amazing and Bongi was very helpful. Thank you so much
