WOW!!! What can I say, what a place!
Cape Town has some gems and this is one of them, set on a boutique hot rooftop in the CBD. Finding parking was a challenge, so I’d suggest grabbing a taxi to the hustling city venue location.
The venue is just amazing, with some so much creative appeal, think industrial tones of raw, exposed concrete and steelwork, woven with modern Victorian elements. Not to mention the eye watering stunning mosaic pool that softens the elements.
The food was a great, though not cheap, but for the experience, still a 5/5. The wood-fire option for carnivores are the go-to I’m told, although, I followed my tastebuds on this charming afternoon lunch, opting for oysters to start, and the wood-fire baby chicken, and my wife the Tuna Niçoise salad together with two sides. Again the choice, was wide and difficult to make, but the quality was amazing, fresh and delicious. We were there on a quietish mid-week afternoon, for a celebratory lunch, and service was attentive and slick. Wine list was not wide, but offered enough for most.
I would imagine the after work and early evening crowd could get super vibey in this trendy venue. Guess, I’ll have to visit, again, again and again.
Ciao
