Beautiful classic whiskey bar. The only thing I found out of place is the way the bar ladies dress. Perhaps just a bit fancier than hoodies and a basketball cap.

I have not been out in Cape Town for years and the live performance at Hanks was sublime! Well done! Great service too.

Great vibe and ambience. Friendly staff. Good service. Heritage building. Moody lighting. Good music. Nice crowd. Not too big or crowded. Intimate and fun. Good food. Affordable but not cheap. Great bar. Really recommend this place. Hope it doesn't get hyped now. Long may it keep its character.

Ambiance is amazing!
Ventilation is an absolute shocker though. If it wasnt for the barlady that had brought her fan from home we would have fried. I am sorry but if you want to charge a pretty penny for your drinks surely you can afford a fan or aircon.

Cozy little whiskey bar. My wife doesn’t like whiskey, but they had options to accommodate her as I sampled the various whiskeys.

Irish pub in appearance and name only, fair sized whiskey selection and attentive staff though.
