Life Grand Cafe has become one of our firm favorite places to dine in Cape Town. Whether this be for lunch or dinner, or whether it be a beautiful sunny day or cold and cloudy. The restaurant can lend itself to a cosy feel with heaters and blankets, or one of open verandahs with refreshing sea breezes.

It is advisable to book, as they are quite popular with locals and tourists.

We've been three times recently, and on each occasion we were exceptionally pleased with the food quality, the service and atmosphere. Whether it be a fish, meat, burger or chicken option, we could not say which was a better dish! Their cocktails are also ????.

On the three occasions we were served by Frank (if I remember correctly). He was an incredible waiter who really elevated our dining experience each time. He had a great sense of humor and excellent customer service!

One thing to keep in mind: this is Life Grand Cafe, and not The Grand (which sits just outside the Waterfront).

The best thing about this place for me is the location and the interior decor . The ambience can go either way-Different strokes for different folks

I went there for lunch on a sunny Friday afternoon, the terrace was packed and the service was okay but the food was underwhelming(or maybe my choices were)

Had one of the gourmet loaves and that was a complete miss, wouldn’t recommend. The grilled beef fillet was really good though . The dessert (Death By Chocolate) was sweet and nice-edible. So yay for the vibe and nay for the food. I was disappointed when my wine glass came dripping water and looked dirty, but I guess given that it was so full I understand

Definitely a great place for chilling and drinking.

Absolutely enjoyed my time there. The food was amazing and the waiters did a great job. Love love loved it. You get to see the water and boats aesthetics nicely as well.

Variety and presentation of dishes was remarkable. If you love eating with your eyes and enjoy scenic setting Life Grand Cafe is a must. We enjoyed lunch with our daughters on Sunday

Hi there,

A super busy place, many type of food on the menu. The busy vibe is good and bad depending on what you like. However, it doesn’t impact the service they provide. You want to order something, the waiters are everywhere.

Bring a table of friends, but you’ll have to shout, but isn’t that part of the party?

Bella????i was blown away when i walked in Life Grand Cafe,the decor etc beautiful from the entrance to the seating area and the toilets Wow. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and the Manager Brandon gave us excellent service????The food was the best! Bravo to the Chef! I simply loved the tuna ceviche, the prawns ,Fire pit platter and oh so choc dessert, everything! I highly recommend this restaurant❤ Thank you for the lovely experience xxx

Literally one of the best restaurants to eat at in the Vu0026A Waterfront. I ordered the Beyond Meat Burger and the Cosmo Virgin cocktail.The food looked so delicious and tasted good as well. The prices are very good and staff is quite friendly and cheerful. It is the perfect restaurant to enjoy some quality food with an amazing view and atmosphere.
