I was sent to the hospital by my doctor, when I got there I literally sat the whole day without being assisted and then decided to leave and they only let me leave after they signed the paper to say I left out of my own will, then got a bill from the hospital and because I did not Pay it yet they want to take me further, when in fact they didn't help me so what are they charging me for? I'll pay the bill but I'll never set foot here again. So thank you for nothing!

You are appreciated by my family and myself. I have received wonderful assistance from the nurses at this hospital. It takes alot to do the job you do. You don't deserve people treating you badly. It's not easy to handle so many impatient people . Thank you for your service ????.

If I could give 0 stars, I would but unfortunately I can't, so I'll give them a 1. I was referred here 2 days ago because I needed to have a small operation done to remove a breast abscess and I must say, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. The staff in the emergency section have no compassion or people skills at all, even the woman who makes sandwiches for people who needed to stay late, shouted so horribly at someone for calling her because they wanted a sandwich. What I really want to say is, after my procedure was done, nothing was communicated with me. The surgeon basically disappeared. I wasn't told when I should remove the dressing, how it should be cleaned, if there's any food I should avoid, nothing at all. I had to ask one of the sisters for all this information who was extremely nice but unfortunately she didn't have all the information. I am lucky to have a neighbour who's a nurse and she gave me all the do's and don'ts. I seriously would not recommend ????????????????

Baby was transferred to NEONATAL department at lentegeur District Hospital, from GSH KMC. I don't know why Groote schuur. Delayed process as I couldn't be with baby like the rest of the mum's knowing what i went through. I expected more support but was left with alot of anger i cried bitterly at home.I asked the doctors for referral as Groote schuur far from home and District Hospital nearby.The sister in charge at Groote schuur was in her feelings and didn't like that idea at all possibly due to my traumatic experience that occured due to my health condition. WHEN my baby arrived at Neonatal in lentegeur I was shocked to find out that baby progressed alot baby was fine and could sleep by me what a relief.feeding tube was removed and I started to cup feed lol had bottle in bag and baby was very hungry ???? nurses was very professional and so compassionate they even removed my stitches. The night nurse that did her rounds was a doll she checked on baby to see if he's breathing and if we ok ...Then I would wake up even put blankies over us. The other nurse was inconsiderate and mean didn't check up on us didn't talk at all she wore glasses night nurse too.The experience I had with them was on point compared to what I went through at the trauma side, they need to step up.its horrible how they threat people at that side. If you can't be polite and love what you do then leave take another profession nobody has time for drama.The Hospital has alot of potential I would recommend it to anyone who would speak there mind. Because there's rude nurses and doctors at hospital who's very unkind and I felt very uncomfortable sore whilst I was in such alot of pain waiting to be helped for hours. There's also alot of space on premises !!!that can be used for vegetable gardening to feed the needy children in diverse communities. Would like to know what the Governments plans to do with the grounds as it's enormous.

Staff nd doctors here are very friendly and helpful nd have a lot of patience...Was very impressed with their services.They work fast nd efficient,I can see team work is very important here . Security need to work on their people skills.....

This hospital is not for kids they dont care about our children we must wait more then 8 hours to be helped !!!!! They have no respect for our children nothing I'm still waiting on my wife and son to be helped more then 8hrs ago I hate this place!!!!!
