Consistently good seafood, good sized portions at a great price. We had a platter and definitely had enough for both of us. They also allow you to bring your own wines which helps make it affordable. My favourite was the calamari and prawns. The staff are also very friendly and the views aren’t bad either.

Great place to celebrate! Fantastic view of False Bay, combined with delicious sea food is a match made in culinary heaven.
At sunset, few places match this.

Wife and I had fish, calamari, prawns, chips, and a side of crumbed zucchini (baby marrow). Friends had platter for 2, which looked awesome, and mum had crab cakes with side of fries. Crumbed crab cakes are a starter, but could certainly order 2 or 3 portions as main and add a salad as a side... next time!

Chosen this branch for a family get together because of its fantastic views. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. We planned to order individual pans but thought ordering two platters, one for 2 and another for 4 people would be better value.

Sadly the platter for 4 seemed to have significantly shrunk in size. My mom's platter for 2 was in the same size pan as the platter for 4 but much bigger portions. The fish (baby hake) and prawns was cooked superbly but calamari unfortunately rubbery.

Overall experience, ok, food u0026 value was the let down.

Too many restaurants serve very oily fried fish. I eventually gave up on this idea. Last night we thought we'd try Ocean Basket in Somerset West. Voila! We were pleasantly surprised. The fried fish was not drenched in oil and although ever so slightly oily, the batter bordered on being dry.
I would recommend that Ocean Basket try improving their batter for the health nuts. Perhaps you can set the trend.

The food was therefore good, the service was very good, so was the friendly, polite, helpful, well trained and professional waitress and of course the beautiful view overlooking the sea.

Overall a good experience. I definitely recommend this Ocean Basket.

We haven't eaten out in a long time and thus decided to sample the fare from them. We went for single dish fish and chips and a 12 prawn single, all with a few black mussels in garlic sauce. We were not disappointed!!

First time im definitely disappointed. Dom Pedro taste was horrible. We ordered a platter for 2 and the portions was very small. All and all wasnt a pleasant experience for the price we had to pay
