I absolutely love this gym! great equipment, clean environment, good atmosphere and friendly staff.
The steam room is a bit uncomfortable at times because of the metal framing on the seating but it can easily be fixed by putting a wooden cover on it. I would rate this gym 10/10, well done!

Sales Reps will sell you anything just to make you sign a contract. Long story short, and omitting many details, i requested my contract be canceled due to lies regarding my contract fees. There was eventually no further feedback from the manager, and debit orders stopped going off my account. I assumed this was sorted. Low and behold, i received a LETTER OF DEMAND from their attorneys requesting over R6000 in outstanding fees. Absolutely disgusting.

Took out a membership with Mochie and being new to the city completely sold us our contract on false pretenses. We moved away to our new home and cancelled our contract based on the fact that there is no planet fitness nearby like we were told there was. After the cancelation of the contract we paid for the 2 months penalty. now we have received debt collectors demands for outstanding fees. Sales reps will do anything to sell you a membership do not trust them. It is a beautiful clean gym but non of this matters if you being taken for a fool.

The gym is really nice, but we were misled by the sales agent, Mochi, regarding moving gyms. He told us Brackenfell is 10 mins away from Somerset West and we took out the contract based on the fact that when we moved suburbs, we would have easy access to another Planet Fitness gym.
The head office also screwed up our cancellation and we were charged unnecessary fees. All in all, a horrible admin experience, but the rest of the staff at the gym were amazing.

Very nice gym itself, a lot of equipment and a lot of different ways to exercise and a couple different classes.
BUT the people that work there are incredibly rude. Literally never had to deal with someone trying to sell me something by being rude and mean towards me. When I asked many questions about the membership, I get rude responses and a sales rep getting frustrated with me. I was going to sign up to this gym but after dealing with the sales people I would rather not get spoken to rudely and actually get treated like a human being. Do not waste your time trying to ask questions about the fine print to your memebership/ they’d rather keep that a secret i’m sure , so asking questions infuriates them. They can’t believe you actually have a brain. Worst People on Earth.

Thanks to the reviews I kept this in mind before attempting to join. The sales rep 'Star' was extremely insistent and aggressive in his approach it was off putting. Think I just dodged a bullet

I decided to try planet fitness as it's close to my work. I love going in the mornings but after work the staff are so arrogant and don't really seem to care. 5 days after signing up I canceled and was told it's passed my "cancelation period", and I would have to pay R2500 or two months of gym! You guys are thieves disgusting!! I can't wait to move back to virgin active.... feel more at home there. I asked one of the workers where the weight plates were as I was new, he turned around and said if you look properly you will find them!! How the actual F@#K can you say that...
