I had one Great experience taking photos at Reset! The Sound quality was amazing! Friendly service, and one sick line up of Dj's!! I will recommend to everybody.

Great venue centrally located in the city centre of Cape Town. The entrance is R100 (if you're not on the guest list) and it offers hard techno, deep house, u0026 minimal house. The tubular dancefloor with the outstanding lighting system adds to the party feeling. Nice mix of people as well, highly recommendable for a good night out!

This place has a tunnel of lights in a room dedicated to banging tunes, people come and have dance marathons. it's ridiculously nice!! Upstairs is another dance floor. Sound system is amazing and the mix of DJ's keep you dancing into the night and into the morning hours, Venue is kept clean and Bathrooms are super clean and people are friendly.

Good club and nice music with awesome bass. Nice dance floor area, I liked the unusual lighting on the ceiling of the dance floor. It would be nice if the bar area had seats, I did not find the venue very spacious.

The music is always top-notch with plenty international acts lined-up! ????u200d♀️
The staff are super friendly and helpful and will make anyone coming to Reset feel like a VIP!
Definitely worth the hang-overs!

If an LED magic strip laden interior decorated nightclub combined with eerie, melancholic and somewhat unimaginative techno music is what you're after then this is definitely the place for you! I found the clientele, however sparse on the evening I decided to go there, quite young, excessively inebriated and under dressed for the occasion but the service from the staff at the bar was adequate - friendly, if somewhat inexperienced and unimaginative.
If you're thinking of revelling until their advertised closing hours I wouldn't recommend it unless sullen faced and aggressive doormen, bouncers, cleaners and floor runners glaring and staring you down gets you into a celebratory mood.
Personally, I feel this venue (which would appear to have retained its shareholders and ditched the original title - Era) had its heyday - however short lived, due to either a change of security firm or a change of management and professional front of house attitude and work ethic - in it's infancy some years ago.
I would strongly advise against a woman considering a solo night out dancing at this venue because the staff at the door are more likely to extort money and intimidate a female on her own, giving little thought to terrorising entire groups of men. At first glance this particular issue seems to have been rectified but once inside you might be faced another matter entirely,
The upstairs ablution facilities are, on the up side, just about the best (in terms of unisex) I've ever seen in a nightclub, here or abroad.
Compared to most other electronic music venues in and around Cape Town I'd say the experience fairly aptly described as "the best of a bad bunch" and a pity too because it hasn't cut costs or corners on sound/speaker quality and the acoustics, both upstairs and downstairs and, without question, super-club world class quality.
Hopefully Reset will find its feet and develop the character stated in its underliner - replay, relax, reinvent.

Nice club scene with weak ventilation, but don't let that stop you from partying into the early hours of the morning.

You are allowed to exit and go back in if you want to take a smoke break away from all the people and the heat

Surrounding area is very shady, but if you move around in a large group everything will be more than fine
