We took a revisit after 20years or more just to see if they still served the most amazing chicken liver pate ???? yip special family memories ???? Hubby and I reminisced with the ‘yip’ still amazing pate and my daughter enjoyed the chicken quiche. The staff were incredible and so friendly - Thank You!
The view was as spectacular as we remember and we loved the nature right up to our table! The memorial however was neglected and overgrown and a bit grotty. So glad we still have pics of yesteryear when it was pristine ????

Nice food and nice views. Also has great lizards. Spotted this guy down by the memorial and named him Eddie Lizzard. Don't know where he is now but I hope he's doing well.

Love the setting of this old classic restaurant. Green foliage all around, granite mountain looming overhead and fantastic views overlooking the southern suburbs as to the atmosphere. Love the kids play park included in the grounds. Even with Covid isolation requirements, the layout can't be beat. Not halaal, so limited to scones and coffee.

The food is delicious and it's great that it's pet friendly but the service could definitely be better. We constantly had to remind the waiters of what we requested. They need to be up skilled and none are particularly personable and friendly. The venue is serene and lovely but ultimately the service is what makes a good restaurant.

Like everything else in cape Town - terrific service (to impress tourists) but alarmingly high prices (also with focus on tourists and no thought at all to the locale). This isn't your place for a sandwich and coffee after a walk, this is your pricey Hotspot. Other than the unreasonable prices for locals - great views, good service, peaceful.

We live a hop, skip and a jump away from Rhodes Memorial Tea Garden on the slope of Table Mountain and try to get there as often as we can. We're yet to be disappointed. Wonderful South African cuisine. Friendly staff. Amazing view.

The Rhodes Memorial tea garden restaurant should be on every visitors' list. Great panoramic view and excellent location for taking photos. Not only can you see both the Atlantic and Indian oceans from there, you can also see as far as the mountain ranges behind Paarl and Stellenbosch.
