The food was very very tasty. The tagine is highly recommended. The flavours, the layout of the plate etc... Everything was right. The portions are large. Another dish that was good: the shrimp and the steak. Inside you are very cozy and there is a homely atmosphere. You can sit nice and warm by the stove. (this is nice when it's a bit colder outside) the service is very nice and helpful.

Hidden gem. Everything about this place is sexy. I loved the three different vibes in each floor. I couldn't get over the artwork. This place is the definition of warm, classy and intimate. The service is efficient. It was quick to make and pay for my birthday reservation. The chicken Platter was juicy. They are overall organized. And the staff is super friendly. Perfect place for drinks and conversations with loved ones. ????

We love this place for a chilled lunch in town with spectacular views of Table Mountain. On a warm, sunny day the roof top is the place to be and you can sit down and enjoy some cocktails while being right in the middle of trendy Kloof Street.

They offer daily lunch specials which you can check out on their website beforehand. I always order a burger which comes with onion rings, slaw and an optional side salad or chips. It's really delicious and filling and you won't go home hungry. Whenever we have lunch there, I always order a Virgin Mojito for just R32!!!! It tastes and looks like its big alcoholic brother and is a great alcohol-free alternative during the day.

Until you reach the roof top, you have to climb quite a few stairs, but it's absolutely worth it and we highly recommend that place. Super friendly staff all inclusive!

I have been going to Rick’s regularly, and I have never been disappointed. Food is simple but always very good and tasty. I do recommend the beef fillet with couscous, my favorite ????. Chef always nails the cooking of the meat. The staff is professional and friendly, they will make sure you having a great evening. The only thing that could be improved if I had mention one would be the wine menu. Would be nice to have rarer or more original wines.

Hi there,

A nice little place with a good vibe. Music is just right in terms of volume, service was good too.

I had a whiskey sour and some food, it was really good. Definitely coming back here again.

This was amazing! Thank you guys so much! Alan our water was awesome. The food (vegan menus also) was amazing! The drinks were delicious. Deffs coming back! Perfect location and Amazing decor too!

I went to Rick’s Cafe Americain last Saturday. It was my first time going there and was so keen to go after all the Instagram videos I have seen.

I ordered the starter platter which was super delicious. It had mini fish cakes which was okay, the chilli poppers which was delicious and spicy, lamb kebab which was a little but great, chicken kebab which was good, the pita tastes yummy and the dips were also good.

I also ordered the seafood tagine which I was so excited to taste. I love having a lamb and chicken tajine so I thought it would be nice to try it as it’s not a common tagine I have seen. The seafood portions is very generous and had olives and almond slithers in it. It was good and was served with a delicious garlic bread. It was nice but not something I would have again.

We ordered some cocktails and mocktails, they were delicious I enjoyed and really would want more of the coconut mocktail.

The service was really good and the food came out quite quickly.

It’s very dimly lit I guess to give that ambience hence the dark pictures. Was a bit loud but it was busy.

Overall it was a good time and I would definitely come again
