I've visited Arnold's a few times for brekkie and the value and service have been spot on each time.
They've got a very pleasant, casual atmosphere which is conducive to lingering. Compared to other places I've visited, they don't necessarily go all out on pretty, aesthetically dishes. That's not to say that your meal is visually unappealing, but they go for quality first, aesthetics second, which is how it should be,
They make, in my opinion, one of the best cappuccinos in town and if you're like me and need to accessorize your coffee with a mimosa, they've got you covered.
Their breakfasts are hearty and thoroughly enjoyable and the attentiveness of their services is top notch. Us Westerners love to complain about slow and inconsistent service, but I've had no trace of that whatsoever at Arnold's. Their servers are very attentive and friendly, and, frankly, delightful, and this complements the amazing food.
I've only been here for brekkie which, I can't stress enough, is fantastic and I need to pop in for dinner one night. But based on my experiences thus far, I have no doubt that it will be amazing as well.
So if you've not been, by all means check this place out. It is, by far, one of my favourite spots in Cape Town.
