Everything in this hotel needs attention. It has the most amazing collection of art deco period furniture, but even these need much love and care. It must have been a very nice quirky boutique hotel at some point, but it must have suffered heavily financially from very few guests staying there during the almost one year period of Covid lockdowns. The owner says he has recently sold the hotel. So it is understandable that the hotel is waiting for new energy and new capital.

Congratulations to Fritz hotel in heart of Cape Town for excellent service and friendly staff. The rooms are very clean, and the atmosphere peaceful and reminiscent of the bygone days of historical Cape Dutch period. At breakfast time you wake up with the smell of fresh coffee and butter and toast, and the only mosquito that showed up is now of late... Will I be back? Yea man yea!!

The Fritz Hotel is currently undergoing renovation. Not sure what it will look like when it's done. But I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the end product.

Amaazing! We loved our stay. The room was comfy and clean. Internet connection was good. Staff was kind. Location is great - although not in downtown, it is a walking distance and close to very nice restaurants. Breakfast was perfect!!

It's a 3 star experience and the staff are awesome. However, the room only had a bath. On average water is used less economically when bathing Vs showering. Considering the water shortage they really need to upgrade their facilities.

Very good breakfast with fresh fruit salad and good coffee (cappuccino). The hotel is very well situated. But you can easily hear other people walking around.
Great price-performance ratio!

warm and authentic hospitality, amazing breakfast buffet and the perfect location for urban safaris. very recommended for your stay in Cape Town.
