Only went here for drinks. The drinks are cheap enough, but there are always some sketchy characters that make for an unpleasant visit. Could be a nice place otherwise.

Strange vagrant characters outside, the barman was not very friendly at all regarding service is the games room and the rest rooms were utterly disgustingly dirty with urine on the toilet seat and floors.... And the smell was terrible....

Disgusting place, the security staff is friendly however the owner, Dean is quite simply racist. I observed him denigrating a man in a revolting way. I simply could not stand to stay for the full duration of my booking. The top down influence of his racism is simply to extreme.

Do not recommend.

Went for after work drinks, Thandi the bar lady was friendly, great vibe and service. We loved it. Stunning old building.

When I arrived,I had to ask around to see who's checking me in. Eventually it turned out that my room was double booked.(I called twice earlier that day to verbally confirm my booking but no answer) An hour later,I was directed to a massive room (family size) ,not what I was hoping for and the tv had no signal, wifi was ridiculously slow and when it was time to take a shower, there was no towels and no body soap ( washed myself with the hand soap from the basin. The music was loud from next door and the final straw came when someone started banging on the room next door like they were gonna break it down. I packed up about 3hrs into my stay to go look for other,more suitable lodgings.. pity

This hotel/hostel bar u0026 restaurant has a
lovely charm only an Historical building can provide. Staff are friendly and welcoming! Lived being able to play a game of pool whilst having a beer u0026 then again upstairs on the second pool table when we decided to stay there u0026 booked a room
