While the burger itself was pretty good, the French fries were overcooked.

The venue itself looks weather beaten and urgently require upgrading.

Hygiene u0026 tidiness needs attention.

Great little burger spot! Pretty small menu, no vegetarian options. Their prices are very reasonable (I paid something like R70 for a burger +an egg + fries. My order was exactly what I asked for, cooked to perfection. Chips didn't survive the trip home ;). Burger has a flame grilled/charred taste, most will love it.

Parking might be an issue at certain times. Seating at the venue is very scarce, 1 communal table with less than 15 chairs, order and take it home.

For a place with a one liner that reads, "Meal Takeaway", they are doing the absolute most! I've been a fan of Woodies Burgers for years and its burgers are consistently delicious.

The new location has limited seating because the idea is you grab your food and go, but we decided to stay lol. There are no condiments or serviettes on the table, which would make for a great addition. They do give you those moist towelettes because they know how juicy and saucy their burgers are.

We ordered the chicken and beef OG and the mushroom one (forgot the name) and all three burgers came with a generous helping of chips. The burgers are made to order, so it does take longer than your regular vienna parcel but it's really worth the wait - the chicken is pricier and takes longer to make, but the meat is perfectly tender with a great crust. The chips are crispy and have just enough salt, and there's nothing more satisfying than feeling that warm bun in your hands right before you dig into that succulent burger.

I absolutely love this place and its novelty: the retro arcade games in the shop and the iconic Bashews cold drinks (they used to deliver them on your doorstep), and it makes me so happy to give them five stars. Although, it wouldn't hurt if they chose a more central location ...

We ordered 2 double burgers and chips, and wings last week.

The burgers were extremely old and the buns stale. The patties were crumbling and the burger was stuck untidely where the cheese etc was hard against the burger because it was so stale. The wings were TINY. I did not eat more than 3 bites of the burger which was probably the worst burger I ever had. The chips tasted like they reused fish oil for a week and fried the chips in it.

I approached the restaurant directly to resolve however to date I have not heard from the manager.

This is not what I am use to from Woodies and this isn't about a refund but acknowledging that they messed up and they slipped on the quality of their food.

I saw their reviews and thought i had to try them in the way home. The staff were super friendly and my burger and fries were ready so quickly.
The big problem I had was I sat in my car intending to have just one bite of the burger before I drove home. It didn’t survive. I devoured it. It was that good and it disappeared before my eyes in the parking lot. One of the best burgers I’ve had. The chips went almost as quickly.
