We had such a nice experience. Fun for the whole family. My toddler loved every second of it! You can take a picnic basket, braai and ride on the trains. Entrance is cheap. Definitely put on your list to do with the little ones!

A lovely little gem in the center of Centurion. Fun family day with picnic and barbecue facilities. Very affordable and entrance ticket includes one ride on a miniature steam train. Definitely would recommend to families with small children.

Awesome experience for families with young children. Appropriate for kids of all ages regardless of gender.
Cost effective entertainment and exceptionally friendly hospitality at all operators and their trains.
Multiple trains ride all day long and vary from steam locomotive, to petrol to battery powered.
Plenty of track, bridges, tunnels and water features
Smaller scale trains run on a seperate small track every 3rd Sunday of the month. Remote control trucks and mining equipment also operated and on display at the same time.
A proper gem in Centurion!
Friendly food vendors with tasty coffee and delicious pancakes.
Safe and secure, with off street parking with car guard.
Highly recommended.

Description: A great train experience with model train rides circling a beautiful lake. They have created a realistic train station with some of the trains being real steam engines.

Cost: cheap - R30 entry which incl 1 ride. There after R15 per ride.
Service: 5/5
Friendliness: 5/5 train conductors are always smiling and warm
Kid satisfaction: 3/5 it can be a bit overwhelming for the younger kids (1 - 5), the older kids will have a great time. What I'd suggest is having a picnic on the open fields and then going on a train every now and then
Safety: 5/5 - many people leave their picnics unattended to ride trains.
Food 2/5 - They have a tuck shop and stalls which sell pancakes and candy floss. We could only find Ricoffee and couldn't get any lunch. But you can bring your own picnic or lunch.
DOWN SIDE: Only open on weekends and public holidays as it's volunteer run.

The kids loved it. Nice length train ride at an affordable price. Admission includes a train ride ticket. They sell some fast food and there was a pancake stand when we were there.

A great outing for young and old! A busy station is a hive of activity with trains pulled by steam, electricity etc coming and leaving at frequent intervals. Settle back and enjoy a ride that extends to just over a kilometre, crossing numerous bridges, going around a lake and passing through 2 tunnels. If you're behind the steam locos, keep your eyes screwed up a bit when going through the tunnels as as you get a generous dose of water and cinders thrown back in your face. Tired of riding? Take a stroll to the model trucks and watch these amazing radio controlled models being filled with soil from a grader, move their loads along and dump their loads. Lights, indicators, gear change noises and reversing warning bleeps add to the pleasure of watching these amazing machines.
Hungry? Pannekoeke and curry and rice, priced very reasonably are there to enjoy together with a small tuckshop with,cool drinks, chips, ice cream etc. Rides cost R15 - great news for families. Picnicking spots and braai facilities add to the enjoyment of the day.

Was amazed at this find! Great day out, riding miniature trains and watching radio controlled cars and trucks. Perfect for a picnic or even a braai. Only negative was the quality of the bathrooms.
