Lovely parkrun along the lake. Route is mostly flat and majority paved. It's a double lapper but beautiful route. Ample secure parking and there is security guards. There are clean bathrooms close to the start/finish area. The volunteers at this parkrun are very accommodating and friendly and it's such a pleasure to parkrun here. They have an energy and enthusiasm that makes you feel better, even if you are just walking! I highly recommend this event and would certainly return.

Bit confusing. Victoria Lake parkrun at Germiston Lake, but not to be confused with Lake Victoria :). Broekielaced picnic areas arranged all over, and a children’s play area first catch your eye. And the lake. Its a double loop flat run, convenient for prams as it on tar or brick paths all the way. A warm welcome from Gerry and we were off to enjoy what is a pleasant run. The Marshall’s are very friendly and engaging. They ensure no confusion on the course - always appreciated. We did breakfast at Harvard cafe on a previous parkrun (recommended) so tried Simply Majestic close - not as festive, at that time of the morning, but good food and value.
