Awful, awful, awful. As a place to stay, not only is the building old, unkempt and falling to pieces, but the so called owners, never present, arrogant and uninterested are possibly waiting for the building to fall down and then not have the annoying customers at all. Its apparently becoming a short term rental spot, which is easier than guests to manage I guess. Doors dont lock, courtyard a disgrace, broken benches, broken tiles in rooms, decor from 1980... a disgrace in general. Such a great location, but never again. The only joy were the cleaning staff and a wonderful reception man called Simba.

Very spacious rooms, with almost all the necessary rooms, the quality of the place is just above average, very good for a person who doesn't want to spend too much and also doesn't want a bad place to stay in (good value for Money). They are very understanding. The bonus is that this place is close to Varsity, Summerstrand shopping centre, the ocean, the beach and the boardwalk. I would recommend this place to the next person.????

The ladies were very helpful with regard to the booking etc...Well done.
However I would not recommend people in a holiday mood to book at this lodge, neither if you have kids.
The children were not allowed to play and be themselves. We had to keep them locked up indoors as it were shown very clearly that they were an irritation to the hostess/es. Braai facilities is right in the centre of the rooms and even there absolute silence is required.....
No ways I'll go back or recommend anyone to book there as this is most definitely not a place for holiday makers.

We came to beacon lodge after long flight. We are very disappointed. Photos are misleading. Our room was old and neglected. Brown water in the bath. Floor is falling apart. I should mention that rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable.

Very old furniture, curtains etc and as a result it doesn't feel clean. This place is in a good location. Close to the beacha and road but I think it needs to be renovated. Everything looks like its from the 80s

I would NOT recommend it as a 3 star
The furniture is old. Not exiting wifi, poor entertainment, no satelite TV. Reading lamp with no plug to connect
Although clean, the flouor feel sticky when you walk on it. Paint peels off at the bottom. I would NOT recommend it as a 3 star

Very bad maintenance on their rooms furniture has never been changed for the past 10 years everything is falling apart the wooden floors haven't been maintained,the TV has been glued together, the bedding is old and deteriorated. You can get a hotel with wifi and air conditioning for the same price I wouldn't recommend coming here.
