What an amazing fine dining experience!

The ambience is very special with a live pianist, beautiful chandeliers and antiques.

The food was mouth-watering. The starters were amazing, and my steak (blu on a cold plate) was absolutely perfect. A hard feat to achieve!!!

The prices are well worth the quality of the food and the steak was the best I have had in a very long time.

We had loadshedding but the kitchen still made a plan to get the chips done. As an example when I was in Cape Town during loadshedding I was told that I would have to have mash, so five out of five for amazing service.

The owner is also very hands on and added a personal touch by remembering my name under the reservation I made.

This is a very special place and I will definitely be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Old Austria. Both the owner and the staff were welcoming and the food was great as well.

Google led us to this Gem. Food was amazing, music lovely, invoking nostalgia and the perfect inspiration. Well done. Will definitely be back

Worst experience booking for the Christmas lunch. Food was not served at the table together, some of us waited 3 hours for the main course. Food was below standard expected and management basically clueless to how service should be delivered.

A great fine dining culinary experience. If you're looking for the most succulent, falls off the bone lamb shank, airily u0026 cracking top Crème Brûlée, I would recommend this beautiful restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly, with the owner being ever delightful. It is nothing like no other in Gqeberha. You'll also enjoy the hint's of Austrian and Germany influence.

Went for the lunch specials. Venue was a bit full as we got there at 1.50pm. Only 2 waitresses. Waited 30 to 40 minutes to get a menu. Another 30 minutes to receive starter. Owner came into eating area, didn't even bother to acknowledge us, not even a nod of the head. 30 minutes later, our main meal arrives???????? with refried burnt chips! Absolutely disgusting. Yet the owner approved of the meal being served. We complained about it but nothing was done.
Never going back there again.

This restaurant has changed radically under new management. Food and prices both reasonable and management friendly, but it is not the high class establishment it used to be. A disappointment for those who knew and loved the old restaurant, which was part of the city's heritage.
