The Bayside Pantry

I phoned to make a booking at 17h00 on Sunday 02nd January. We drove all the way from Jeffreys Bay just to find the whole place under construction and no one were able to assist us. The lady at the hotel reservation desk told us that the buffet were only from 13h00-15hoo. We can't believe that the person making reservations don't even know the trading hours. In future please be sure to let clients know before hand what the current situation is.

Buffet at Bayside Pantry was extremely disappointing to say the least. Very sad variety and food was mediocre. Don't mind a small variety if food is of good quality but definitely not worth it.

Have been struggling over a week to make a reservation, no one available to take booking and the person to do so not on duty. Poor service.

Absolutely perfect. Amazing food, great desserts, everything was just right. No complaints at all. Good selection. Well prepared food, correct flavours and exactly what you want. Not extremely pricey as well

The salads are tasty and well presented. I could quite easy only eat the salads, which years ago was served during the week at lunch time and which I used to go and enjoy often. Sadly it was discontinued. The only complaint of the salads is the feeble pickled fish which I've complained about for years.

The hot food is mostly stews cooked with cheap cuts of meat. They still have not learnt to make proper roast potatoes. Stop being lazy and peel those darn potatoes!

I prefer eating at the Boardwalk hotel but it was my friend's birthday and he enjoys the stews at the Bayside Pantry.

Both my son and I feel that every time we do eat at the Bayside Pantry it's the same as the previous time and nothing has changed.

Is it not about time you supplied tea and coffee included in the price, seeing you give away copious amounts of free alcohol?

The cold desserts are border line but the hot dessert which appears to be a cup cake gone wrong would be rated a 2 out of 10.

Visited the restuarant and was incredibly disappointed. We have been there on numerous occasions over the past two years but after tonight I don't think I will be going back. The food was a poor average. The desserts were all tasteless. And what was really disappointing were the paper napkins and small white plastic spoons that were had to eat our dessert with. Really!!!!!!
Bay Pantry we were really disappointed ????

Free game drive when entering for less than an hour. Good variety of game. Nice outing on a budget. You can have a view drinks at the Safari Mall which has a game biltong store.
