The menu features an array of options, ranging from sweet to savoury. The waffles sound and look delicious, however, they don’t taste extraordinary. For the price and aesthetic appeal, I expected more from the flavour. The chocolate mousse on the Top Deck Waffle tasted artificial and someone at the table described the waffles as tasting “industrial”. The ice cream and chocolate drops on the waffle, though, were divine.
Our waitress was also very unfriendly and uncommunicative and brought with her a negative aura.
The view, on the other hand, is very beautiful and you can clearly see the ocean from the restaurant. The people who ordered Fritkots also thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

Best waffles in Hermanus!

Waffel’s a large in size and tasty. you get exactly what you pay for when you go here.
Very nice view if the beach while enjoying them as well.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Original belgian waffles and a good portion. This is perfect for a brunch because they have a good variety for salty and sweet

Update was there again this year. The menu changed a bit but the waffles were as great as ever!

The food was great! And the service very good. It has a beautiful view of the ocean with shaded outside seating. The Kalfie size is great for a small breakfast.
P.S.The chocolate sauce is not just a sugary syrup but actually contains chocolate! All the waffles are sugar-free (without topping) and you can order a gluten-free version.

Every visit to Hermanus has to include waffles at Belgian Waffles, Beer and Burgers. It is an imperative insisted on by the family.
On this visit we discovered that the ownership has changed, but the good service, and good waffles are still the same.
Definitely worth a visit.

A tiny place with waffles any which way you can imagine. And a fridge filled with a wide variety of delicious Belgian beers. Service might be a little slow when they get busy but everything is freshly made so well worth the wait. Next time I'm ordering off the kiddies menu because they smiley faces, smarties and balloons all over their waffles.
