OB now situated in the mall - it's a pity they lost the beautiful sea view. We ordered the platter for two and a fish platter. We enjoyed our dishes. Service was good- but we felt rushed as they wanted to close up just after 21:30.

This was an interresting experience. Lovely people and super friendly service. It was quiet though. There was a howling wind outside....but inside was very cosy. The food was really good. All round this was a very pleasent dinner with great service.

Haven't been to the new location, but the food was amazing
We were with 4 and had platter for 1's and 1 calamari u0026 prawns combo. The food was brought to our table quite quickly and it was delicious. I couldn't finish my whole tray, so for those with a tiny appetite should maybe not order the platter for 1 (which includes 3 mussels, 6 prawns, chips or rice, hake, calamari, and heads)

We went to the Ocean Basket in Hermanus on 23 January 2021.

Our waiter was Josh.

Nice seating is available on the inside and the outside.

Ocean Basket still surprises you with freshly baked rolls.

We ordered the hake combo and some calamari bowls.

The food didn't take long to arrive but the chips was cold. The waiter did reheat the chips.

The calamari bowls were delicious.

Close to the end of our session it felt like the waiter rushed us a bit because we were asked if we wanted dessert or the bill. We literally just finished our food five minutes ago.

All in all a good lunch session for fish lovers, especially when you are in Hermanus.

The seafood is average and pricey. The mussles were rediculously small! Location is great, but I would rather eat seafood somewhere else next time.

We love the ocean basket. It's good value for money. Situated on the promenade of the beach front. Spectacular views of the bay and landscape. Here u can never go wrong with a value for money meal. Service was good and food great.
