Stunning hotel on the cliffs above Hermanus, you can watch whales in the bay from your bedroom! The hotel is modern country house, beautifully furnished, with all the facilities you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The hotel is small and boutique. Staff addressed guests by name and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, continental and/or cooked breakfast available overlooking the ocean. 5 minutes walk to shops and restaurants (although the hotel has it's own very good restaurant). Hermanus felt very safe, i walked the cliff path alone, as did numerous other people. I'll definitely be going back

The only unfortunate part is that we weren't there for longer. On arrival management had kindly upgraded one of our two luxury rooms to a premier suite. Rooms were extremely spacious. Breakfasts are superb. Lovely lounge and bar. Staff are extremely receptive and obliging ably led by a very visible GM in Melissa Burns and which is always appreciated by guests. Best part and which was telling in our decision to stay here is the hotels proximity to town and shopping and the many restaurants. Hotel also has heated outdoor pool and spa which time constraints prevented us from utilizing. Well worth a visit and when special offers are available again we will be back

The stay at the Marine Hermanus was perfect. The location is close to the Hermanus waterfront and the Cliff path is on your doorstep. The service, the beautiful lounge area, and delicious breakfast are only a few things to mention about what a relaxing break it is here. The turn down service makes the end of a day superb. The whale watching from our room was simply the cherry on top. I couldn't fault them on anything.

As always a great experience to visit the well known Marine Hotel in Hermanus. Located right on the cliffs with spectacular views of the ocean and at times whale activity. This time we enjoyed their new high tea offering in the lounge area overlooking the sea. Beautiful presentation of food items both savoury and sweet. Excellent choice of teas and other beverages to choose from. Service is friendly, helpful and attentive at all times.

The service at the Marine Hotel was absolutely incredible. The rooms were luxurious and the location is absolutely breath taking. We planned our wedding reception at the Marine Hotel, and the amazing team made a stressful event stress free. Thank you to Conrad in particular for all his effort - we appreciated it. This hotel is truly a gem, and would definitely be one I will be returning to.

Amazing service. The view was also spectacular. We had a clear look to the ocean, definitely a great hotel. The property leads down to the water and the view is worth every penny. The staff is super nice and the atmosphere is very calming and relaxed.

What an amazing place with a great team. Loved the warm pool and you can always take a few steps in front of the hotel to check for whales. Also enjoyed the option of a late breakfast until 10:30, with an incredible view of the ocean. 6 out of 5 stars!
