I came for the sushi and not the ambiance. The sushi they definitely delivered! The rice was well cooked (something I'm very picky about when eating sushi) and the variety was delicious. What I did found lacking was the way the restaurant was designed (super huge fast food vibe going on) and the drinks menu. Bright lights with very little intimacy, coupled with a very limited selection of wine and spirits made me realize, this is 'take away'. Even though I enjoyed delicious sushi and was blessed with great service, I did feel like I was enjoying it in a rebranded McDonald's.

Very good service and great food. Great for all kinds of people as there is a large menu with vegetarian options and different levels of spiciness - or no chilli at all. The menu covers Thai food, curries and stir frys with rice and noodle dishes. Waiters are very attentive and friendly. Prices are good; R70 - R80 for a meal, with rice or noodles included. Definitely recommended.

The food is good and the quantities also ok. There is no real ambiance, but it's not too cold.... Just one point, there was one real negative. One diner asked for some sweet chilli sauce to add to the dish. A tiny saucer was brought to table and an extra R10 was added to the bill. Not cool!

Apr 29 lunch: This outlet is not near the village square but on the lane behind. The outlet is quite bright with the large windows and gives a good view of the road and also the sea. For starters, we had the veg spring rolls and sweet corn cakes. Both were well made and not too oily. While the mushroom roasted chilli stir fry tasted good, the tofu stir fry wasn't that good cos of the tofu. The tofu was quite chewy. The service was standard. The food quality is generally of the same standard as one would find in their other outlets.

Hi all, this has been one of the worst meals I have had in Hermanus the meal took 1.5 hours to prepare and while our food was being prepared the waitress let's us know that one of the sauces aren't available we then opted for a different option,once the food eventually arrived, two of the dishes were cold. And this after we had waited 30-40 minutes before being recognized by the staff, the chef is clearly over their head, and this issue needs to be addressed for this business to succeed.

A true sense of Eastern cuisine set in a tranquil atmosphere with soft Asian music, whilst enjoying a most excellent meal prepared professionally and taking care that it is of the best quality. My lovely wife and I has our most pleasant, intermit and special moments at Simply Asia in Hermanus. The staff are very friendly and helpful and well trained as we have seen, few and far between. We recommend Simply Asia to any and everyone.
