Bad Restaurant
If it was possoble to give 0,5 stars i would give.
I asked for the steak medium well and they gave well done. Very bad place

The food was great however the restaurant looks really run down, the seating was torn and broken.

It's a nice place to have good prawns and fish. The staff is friendly and hospitable. Food is worth tasting. It's simple, and delicious.
Parking can be a bit of an issue if you are not used to Fordsburg. Be careful where you park your vehicle and ensure you are safe.

Calistos Portuguese Restaurant in fordburg it's a place to be more love from the waiter's management delicious food .... prawns... chicken...steak.... pizza everything it's juc beautiful ...... service from waiter's it's on top

Absolutely love the food here. The wait staff are also amazing. Super friendly. Great attitudes, great atmosphere and great food. Only thing that's missing is a nice play area for the kids.

Horrific Experience! My family and I decided to try out Calisto’s Fordsburg. When we arrived the branch was experiencing load shedding. This is not a problem as we realize that it is no fault of the restaurant. We asked to be seated outside as it was dark inside. Our waiter arrived and we placed our order. During our meal, I tried on numerous occasions to get hold of our waiter. He seemed to have disappeared. We asked the other waiters to help us find him but no one seemed to be able to get hold of him. We placed an order for takeaway pizzas and drinks with another waiter. Soon after that our waiter arrived apologetic and confirmed our order. He then told us his name is Shaun. Once we were done with our meal we asked for the bill. This also seemed to take some time. The waiter arrived with a calculator and explained that because the machines are not working he will be a while with calculating the bill. This took ages! Eventually I went inside and asked the lady at the cashier desk where our waiter was and that it could not take this long to calculate 3 meals. Again the waiters could not find him. He came back to the table with a hand written receipt which was not calculated yet. The bill came out to about R1500. At this point we were all frustrated and paid for the meal and left. How is it possible that 1 steak meal, 1 kingklip meal, 1 prawn meal, 3 pizzas which cost R99.00 each and 2 cokes can amount to R1500 is beyond me! We were grossly overcharged and experienced horrific service.
