We regularly go to the Dakota Spur in Northgate for their "Unreal Breakfast" which is truly an unreal deal! Two eggs, any style, two rashers of bacon, a slice of tomato and a portion of chips make up the deal, along with two slices of crispy toast - we like ours brown. It's a really great breakfast that is well-prepared and served hot by the friendly and efficient wait staff. Freddy and Brilliant get our up vote in the last three weeks. The filter coffee is extra and can be ordered to be served in a mug. The Spur Unreal Breakfast is reasonably priced at under R45 a person. It's well worth it and long may it last.

We had my daughter's birthday party at the Spur. It was part of a combination package which included ice skating. Apart from a lack of communication, we had a really good experience. The service was good and the food was truly incredible. Well done on an exceptional time had by all.

This was disgusting my son, Yaku and I came here our food came 2 hours after we ordered it was freezing when it arrived I ordered the cheesy prawn steak and it was disgusting the prawns were like rubber my son ordered the steak and it came absolutely uncooked this was a terrible experience, my poor baby Jacou is vegetarian now he won’t even look at a piece of steak anymore .absolutely ridiculous service and food .

Recently renovated Spur with a great look. The previous setup looked very old so I'm glad they revamped. I've been a big fan of food from Spur in recent years and it was sad to feel the same again.

The service on the day was surprisingly slow so that didn't improve my experience. I'd definitely give it another try though.

I am not sure if all Spurs are the same because I don't normally go to this type of restaurant, but this one is great.

The food is beautifully presented and the staff are friendly and helpful.

They also have a great menu for pensioners.

Service not on point the waiter had many tables in different sections could not give attention had to sit with dirty plates for a while and took him forever to bring a speed point. Cutlery came not placed on the side plate it was placed on the table just like that. Very sad to get such service on women's day.

Not my best Spur. Lacked that 'meaty' taste.
Buns were stale. My partners chicken overcooked. People at the table next to us eating Nandos and Burger King. Maybe they know something we don't.
