I have to congratulate the building manager and the staff of the Joburg theatre.

Whilst our show was on Loadshedding unexpectedly came and switched off everything.
With true professionalism the theatre said the show must go on and within 30 mins we were back up and running as if nothing happened.

The facilities are great to host international acts such as the renowned Lady Smith Black Mambazo.

Thank you.

Took our mom there for her 60th birthday to watch Belinda David's Whitney Houston tribute show called Greatest Love of All ( R390 per ticket) and what a well put together show with an ochestra. We had an absolute blast with many calling for an encore. The theatre is clean and well ventilated with quite a few entrances. You can grab snacks as well alcohol beverages from the kiosks to enjoy whilst inside the theatre and it cost about R400 for 3 of us. We then proceeded to end the night off with a light dinner downstairs at the inhouse restaurant which cost about R500 for all 3 of us as well.

I have always loved coming here. However having the pleasure of watching John Kani apply his trade... truly priceless

The family and I had booked the Belinda David's show (The greatest love of all). Needless to say, it was one of these best performances I had attended in a long time. This was definitely aided by the friendly staff and well maintained standards of the Johannesburg theatre. The Nelson Mandela theatre boasts great cinematics, that captivate the audience. The restrooms are very well kept. Only improvement would be the efficiency of the bars, otherwise a great venue to watch live performance. Highly recommend!

Hadn't been here in any years. The service is lovely! Be aware the in house snacks are expensive. There is a coffee shop on the premises of you wish to have a proper meal. A big well done to all the company members on a wonderful performance! Cant wait to come and watch another production!

This place was amazing. Starting from the entrance that almost felt like a luxurious hotel. We were in the biggest venue which occupies over 1000 people. It is one of four venues the theater has. The high ceiling with a balcony for additional people made the mood the place to be at. The seats are red in color and comfortable. The view to the stage absolutely clear. I can't begin to applaud the lighting and smoke effects, and ultimately the show I got to experience, a wonderful performance indeed. It was absolutely amazing. I will definitely come back to this place or for the group that was performing. Absolutely loved it.
