Im so disappointed at this clinic. My wife gave birth with Oxford Maternity and they did it at Brenthurst. Oxford maternity is brilliant, no complaints there. Brenthurst MATERNITY DEPT. was horrific. Mom came out of theatre and is expected to immediately care for the baby. Very hard to get help. One or two of the nurses were good (I remember sister Mary was good). I don't think it's normal for a human being to get cut open and then be expected to care immediately for another living person. The newborn is expected to be by the mother the entire day! Where is the recovery time for mom?? The father isn't allowed to stay to assist. It was just a horrible experience. Oh yes, and they claimed R65000 from discovery for 2 nights for a normal c section.

The ladies at the Lancet reception gave me a difficult time, they had me walk up and down 2 floors for a referral letter that wasn’t needed, they guaranteed me that I’d get my results on the Lancet app, called them later about it and they said they didn’t know that I wouldn’t get them through the app. They were extremely rude requesting for an ID number whilst what I could produce to them was a passport number. I am disappointed, usually we go to other branches and we are treated with Dignity but your Lancet however the other hospital staff is amazing especially Dr Pillay and the Guy at the X-ray reception.

THE SERVICE IN THIS HOSPITAL HAS DETERIORATED SIGNIFICANTLY. The doctor who operated on me, Dr Maharaj, arrived 5 hours after scheduled operation time. In all this time there was no communication about the delay. After my operation the doctor disappeared. No information about after care/follow up appointment. The nurses just gave me one packet of painkillers and I was sent home just like that. The nurses were loud, laughing and chatting in the front of the ward while us patients were trying to get some rest. The communication from the nurses is poor. You ring for painkillers and they say they'll bring but they don't. Nurses gossip about patients in close proximity and chase away family that comes to help us bath and so on seeing that they are too busy to. For the amount of money the hospital claims from medical aid, THEIR SERVICE IS APPALLING!! If I could give zero stars I would.

My son was admitted yesterday with a head injury (boys u0026 rugby) the amazing treatment I received from the nurses at triage - Asanda, thank you ❤️ right through to the attending doctor, to the nurses at ICU and the attending physician. It gave me such a relief leaving him in their warm hands coz I knew he would be welltaken of. It is quite refreshing because my previous experience a few years back wasn't so great. So thank you all so much for the love you have for your patients and for taking care of my little man.

What an absolute joke of a hospital! I brought my child in around midnight with an emergency. There was a family before me with serious emergency. I waited in the treatment room for a solid 1 hour 40 minutes. Why, because Brenthurst have 1 doctor working in casualty for the night. A whole hospital with nurses everywhere but 1 doctor in casualty???? I ended up leave the rubbish hospital with my sick child unattended to. There's nothing private about this hospital except its fees. Its clearly run like a government hospital.

Your maternity ward indian receptionist is very rude and racist. She have no right to tell patients, they are doing them a favor to provide service. Your clinic does nolonger hold the best service standard. The drama and horrific service is shocking. Stop behaving like a public sector with stinky attitude.

Be prepared to wait 2 to 3 hours for admission when they are not busy. We arrived at reception at 3pm on the 8th of June 2022. It is 6pm and my wife still isn't admitted. The guys working at reception is on a complete go slow. Absolutely terrible service. Rather go to another hospital because a public hospital is far better than this, appearance included.
