A typical Mugg and Bean experience. If you like Mugg u0026 Bean usual poor service and big muffins, you will stay a fan. Two reasons why I normally stay away: probably have the worst coffee apart from instant coffee. Hate the espresso. Cannot stand their normal bad service. That is probably one of the requirements to work at Mu0026B. They have almost everything going for them. A large menu offering something of everything and yes they have big muffins. Why they don't get better coffee boggles me.

Conveniently located near a Exclusive Books, so it's a great spot for reading dates. The menu is good but certain items are not executed with the same consistency. Sometimes the taste and portion vary depending on goodness knows what. The only consistently great item is the iced coffee, its my favourite.

This Mugg u0026 Bean offers modern chain cafe serving hearty classics, gourmet burgers and sandwiches, coffee and giant muffins. Located on the ground and floor of the Rosebank Mall.

I actually had to change this review, A couple of months ago I had given them 4 stars after visiting them a couple of times but I take that back. Honestly it was initially a good experience as usual up until I had to pay. I wanted to use my bean balance as part of my payment then I was told their wicode is then I said okay, I'll pay with the app. The waiter didn't seem to know how paying with the app works, she seemed surprised actually. I did exactly that; scanned and paid with both my card and my bean balance then it went through. Money came out of my account. Then suddenly they tell me that it's not reflecting on their side because their wicode network has some issues. So I should wait for a bit while they call the people who can assist to ensure that it went through. I did that, ± 15 minutes later I ask the waiter what am I waiting for exactly then she says the manager is calling the people who are gonna help with this. The manager comes back and tells me that she called the people and they are fixing it. I did mention that I had to go somewhere (I had waited for ±20 minutes now) then she asks me to wait for 2 minutes because if the money bounces back the waiter will have to pay for it. So I thought okay makes sense and waited. After waiting 26 more minutes I ended up going to where the manager was because I had commitments and I couldn't wait anymore especially because I was just standing there with a very irritated baby and no one was telling me what was going on as it is my fault that their network is down. The manager was quite disinterested when I approached her to tell her that I paid 46 minutes ago and yet I'm still there. I'm honestly disappointed with your manager. It was quite unfortunate that there was no one higher than the manager that I could call. I honestly don't think I'm ever coming back to this Mugg u0026 Bean. Food was good though. I'm also experiencing some food poisoning from their food, I suspect the chicken mayo.

I swear I would give it a 0 if I could.
I went to the mugg and bean in Rosebank mall
And the service was terrible. I ordered some crumbed chicken thing and it was sooo burnt, i dont even know how they let it out the kitchen. Then I sent it back and 20mins later they come tell me I need to order something else because the ingredients for that are out of stock ?. Anyways everyone’s food took forever to come, they forgot sauces that come with the meals and they don’t even explain what’s the delay, on top of that the other waitresses gossiped about us as we were leaving the restaurant as if we couldn’t hear them. I’m sooo disappointed because I love mugg and bean but the rosebank mall branch put me completely off, and it’s in such a posh area, how can they give such ****ty service. After all those inconveniences they didn’t even offer us anything to say sorry for this service. It was just awful, and I’m not one to complain or even send food back.

With minimal options on menu, it was a bit disappointing when asking for something and being told it’s not available. Our waiter, Nokuthula was very helpful. Restaurant adheres to covid-19 protocol and has a wonderful ambiance.

Bad service. The waiter forgot half our order. Then, once we asked for the other half of the order, no jokes, she brings literally half of what we asked for. One slice of lemon meringue, and we asked for two. The wait time between seating and taking the order was also enormous, and the place was not even that busy. You can't have servothis bad, and prices that high.

The attitude of the staff is also poor. I won't be going back to this Mugg u0026 Bean.
