If you love the jacaranda trees the Munro view point is perfect.

The area is not the best in terms of Safety as there has been reports of cellphone snatching
But it’s a great view during the day over the trees

Hi everyone,

To re-iterate the already apparent theme - my girlfriend and I also got robbed at gunpoint when visiting this spot yesterday. This was in the light of day - around 15:30. I would recommend against stopping here; but, if you do - do not get out and keep your doors locked, ready to drive ASAP if someone approaches you.

Nice spot to watch the city as the sun dips behind you. You can see all the way to Sandton. Northcliff hill is about 15km to your north west when looking from the point.

Would be great if the city cleaned out the bins as it overflows. Wouldn't stay until dark due to being in an unsecured area and easy target for crime. Definitely a spot I will revisit though.

It's a stop and go kind of a view point. You can see from Melville up to midrand through Sandton. I enjoyed the fresh air

This is the best view of Johannesburg from the eastern side. U can see as far as the Westcliff Sandton and Rosebank on a clear day. Beautiful breeze . There isnt enough parking space on the busiest days though.
