The Peech provided exemplary service and comfort during our stay. Our family, which consisted of three generations (ages 6-69), stayed for two nights as a stop over en route to Botswana. The staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. We had to make multiple unique and challenging requests of the Peech staff during our short stay and they exceeded our expectations at every turn. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts and lunches we enjoyed during our stay. After a month of travel around the world the Peech was deemed our 6 year olds favorite hotel and the rest of the family unanimously agreed we would visit again in a heartbeat. Well done Peech hotel you truly hit the mark!

6 of us stayed at Peech during layovers in Johannesburg. The pools were lovely. Early every morning people were grooming hedges and cleaning leaves from the pools. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and well equipped. Menu options for dinner was limited. The breakfast menu was very good. The staff were very accommodating and easily coped with the chaos of our arrival after a very long flight. As for location, it worked for us because we stayed during layovers.

If in Johannesburg this is a great hotel. Off the beaten path just up from Melrose. Great rooms and such a helpful staff. Good food but go out to Melrose just 3 blocks away and try all the food in the city. If you have whatsapp you can keep in touch with the hotel if you need anything while out and about. Would stay here again.

My family loved it here. Very friendly staff, and personalized service. Very close to a lovely park. Walking distance to Melrose Arch, but they'll give you a driver if you prefer.

If first impressions are important, then The Peech failed miserably. At the check-in after a long day of travelling we were met by a rather unfriendly gentleman. Rather than the usual check-in where you produce your passport we were told we had to join their internet using their QR Code, which after some difficulty we managed to do. We then were presented with an iPad which clearly had not been cleaned for some time, and asked to type in our name, address, passport number etc. The room was prepaid so they should have had most of this information - all rather annoying, frustrating and unnecessarily complicated for tired travellers.
We were then taken to our room, which had clearly been designed to be pretty rather than practical. The bathroom (with no bath) was a good size, clean and modern. The bedroom was smallish with virtually no hanging space and no where to place bags - we had most of it scattered on the floor.
The room was pleasantly warm, but no opening windows, only a large sliding door.
We had dinner with the very limited menu, which was adequate but not startling. The only other option was a seven course degustation with matching wines - probably not the first choice for tired travellers.
The following morning breakfast was good and the staff friendly.
The hotel itself is in a good area, but perhaps not ideal for transiting passengers due to its distance from the airport.

Just had a short but very pleasant stay at Peech. It was booked for us by our travel agent so we had little idea what to expect. The service was some of the best we’ve ever had, with staff going out of their way to make us comfortable. We didn’t eat at the fine dining restaurant because it didn’t sound like the kids would be very welcome in the intimate space, but the main restaurant had a wonderful breakfast and some tasty dinner salads.

The layout, with pathways through beautiful gardens that smelled of honeysuckles, was very pleasant. It was very quiet when we were there, so we had one of the two small heated pools to ourselves.

Clean and in all around great shape, the rooms were very relaxing.

We recommend it!
