Clearly the lockdown has devastated this poor lodge but under the circumstances they have held up so well. The staff are amazing and very welcoming.
The pool is out of order for a long time.

I can't really put a star as I arrived for by booked stay but had to find another venue. They had had no electricity for 2 days which meant all the facilities were not available. The owner Jason has also not responded to calls to discuss getting reimbursed. I am more disappointed than angry at this experience because I know life happens and I was so looking forward to experiencing this quiet and peaceful little place. I have learnt from this experience though, dont assume your booking us complete until you have phoned through to ask a few questions, before you book. We need to stop doing everything online and get a little more if the personal touch! Thank you to Bongi who kept me warm until I could make alternate arrangements.

Booked my niece Nd sister to Thulani guest on Saturday 13-02-2021 Nd I had the pleasure of being assisted by a mature professional and very delightful Bongi....she managed to secure space Nd kept me updated throughout the day and wen I finally got to drop off the guests at Thulani Lodge...she was the most delighful Nd friendly in person...Nd gave us a tour around and made sure we my guests were comfortable.....it was a pleasant experience and I work recommend Thulani Lodge for any guests coming to tour Joburg.

Bedroom nice and spacious
Massive bathroom
No sufficient parking
Pool was dirty
No prior warming about the pet cat on the premises
Room door wasn't able to lock, even after reporting it to reception they didnt get it fixed.
No WiFi

I had a clean and usable space. The guy at the reception was also very helpful and the pricing was also good.

There are a lot of restaurants around as well which was a bonus.

Thulani Lodge is my first choice when it comes to accommodation in Johannesburg. The staff is the friendliest and really go out of their way to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Thulani Lodge is by far the best Bu0026B in Melville
