What an amazing hospital. The security, admissions staff, nurses, cleaning staff, doctors and anesthetist are all so kind and caring. Truly feel in great hands here and so at ease. What a blessing to be at this hospital. It is clean and feels welcoming with lovely views from the rooms. Thank you everyone at Donald Gordon for your amazing care.

I have received excellent service and friendly greetings from the catering staff. The food is very good and the chef is open to providing you alternatives not listed on the daily menu.
As for the nursing staff - this differs depending on who is supposed to be overseeing your care. Notwithstanding, complaints highlighted are addressed promptly.

After Posting the message below, management took the correct action and remedied the situation by replacing the hearing aids - in record time.

We are pleased with the outcome and regret having had to resort to this complaint.

Absolutely disgusted with lack of attention by management and staff at Donald Gordon after staff threw my mother’s hearing aids out in the trash. She is a pancreatic cancer patient and was recovering from a surgical procedure. Had placed the devices for n an appropriate cup next to her bed. Have submitted a quote and been told to be patient. Have left messages for hospital manager to phone me. These have been ignored. Email reply says they are reviewing the claim. This is beyond pathetic and does not fit with Mediclinic’s mission statement.

Very disappointed with the booking system at this hospital, we called to set up an appointment for a gastroenterologist on 12 April and we provided our details to a lady who took our call. She assured us all was booked for next week Monday at 11:00... Now I just called to confirm if we can come in earlier for our appointment incase there will be paperwork to fill out etc and the gentleman at reception says ooh we can’t confirm your appointment as you don’t know which doctor you are seeing???? I mean those details were not given or sent to us when we made the booking, so we are supposed to get them from where?? So we wasted basically 3 months waiting for an appointment that was messed up on your end and we have to pay the price for that???? Surely one can check our name against your booking system to see what doctor we are supposed to see. Or there is no such thing???? Very disappointed really

I have just had my second stay in 6 months and I have to say on both occasions I had an incredible experience right from admissions, to the nursing staff, cleaning staff and catering staff. All very pleasant, competent and willing.

My colonoscopy experience at Donny Gordon was not pleasurable from booking in at reception to being admitted to the day ward. Mediclinic management must also please answer the 1 star comments where very poor service was experienced.

This hospital deserve so many stars.Thanks to the nurses at the kids ward that treated me and my son like royalty when my son was admitted in hospital in May 2022.Thanks to Dr Sarah Berkenfeld and Dr Gail Faller for the best treatment for my son as I thought I'm losing my son.You gave me a different perspective in life thanks for the best treatment.And checking up on us and make sure we are okay.
