This is a cafe attached to the Johannesburg Genocide and Holocaust Centre. It's a lovely little spot just to the left of the entrance gates. It's well suited for breakfasts and brunch.

I had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on a bagel (my second bagel ever and it was delicious, I am sold, bye-bye ciabatta). The staff is friendly and eager to connect and serve.

They offer Truthery juices, which are lovely blends, for those hot Joburg days.

Issy's has a retail shelf with potential take home items. Be warned.

Amazing soft baked buttery cookies. Good hot chocolate, more cocoa than milk. I love it and they deliver!!!!!!

Everything is lovely only problem is no one wears masks. Not even the kitchen staff preparing food. Was met with impatience when I mentioned it. Why only wear a mask when carrying food to table but none when preparing the food. Weird.

Very friendly staff, and an extensive menu for a small store. The chai latte is incredible (best I’ve ever tasted), and the salmon scramble is lovely too! If you’re looking for something sweet, the banana bread is very unique and the cinnamon bun is incredible!
