Cannot rate highly enough. We had a wonderful stay and the best breakfast I have had in years. A “must stay” if you are in the area. Sue made us feel truly welcome.

Paradise in every aspect. Fantastic welcome, beautiful, massive room with a patio and wonderful garden view. The main house worth walking around too due to its historical meaning. Breakfast outside, delicious and full of choices. Exceptional service and the best of all the restaurant is a hidden gem. We stayed and dined in every night as the dishes served were second to none. Night after night we were surprised by yet another magical dinner. The restaurant is only open to those staying in the hotel and those who know to telephone and book in advance. Now that you know about it, do it! Every moment of our stay was a delight and the staff just couldn't do more for you. They even washed our car free of charge and without us asking for it. On the day of our wedding anniversary there was a lovely letter and a bottle of bubbles awaiting us in the room. We felt so at home it was difficult to be leaving every day for our day trips! It is a bit of a hike up from town but you are rewarded with amazing view from the veranda surrounding the house. We can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful dinner on the Thursday.
Very a accommodating and the chef did a fine job. I am Vegan!! The waitress and front of house all great!!

I stayed here 2 evenings on my way between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. The property is located on a hill overlooking Knysna and the headlands with stunning sunsets from the veranda. The rooms were spacious, the staff friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. Perfect way to spend 2 relaxing days, I'll fondly remember watching the sun set on the veranda with a gin and tonic in my hand. Highly recommended!

A house with over 100 years history, a wonderful view from the top of the city. Great rooms with wonderfull decorative details. Friendly and warm and very helpful service makes you feel home from the first second! Best breakfast!
