Amazing place and really gives you the true to nature feel. Fast internet, great rooms and amazing hosts definitely made this one something to remember. Perfect for a breakaway weekend or just for working remotely from a peaceful place

This was our 4th stay at Protea Guest House. Every time we visit it feels more like home. They have everything you need. A wonderful view of the lagoon and the fantastic Knysna shrubbery. If you sit quietly outside having breakfast or supper you, like us may be graced with the presence of a Knysna Loerie that flies overhead to say hello. Pleasantly affordable. Always a warm, friendly welcome. What more could one ask for. You are at the top of our list of recommendations.

This was one of the most amazing trips I have been on. Absolutely love Knysna. the log cabin we stayed in was beautiful, so clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. the host Anon and his wife were so friendly and helpful seeing as it was our first time in Knysna. Parking was available too. Breakfast was served to our door each morning and the towels were changed and place cleaned during our stay. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat!

We stayed here overnight and i will come back anytime. This could potentially become my goto place to stay whenever i come to Knysna. The Loerie Lodge is a 2 bedroom chalet that is spacious and comfortable. A deep wide porch makes you feel like you are relaxing deep in the forest with overhanging trees and shrubs. The view of the Knysna Heads are beautiful and the birds singing in the trees around you just adds to the peace and quiet. Due to covid 19 they don't offer breakfast anymore but the coffee shops are a minute away from the accommodation. Really excellent location.

We stayed in the main log Cabin "Loerie", what an awesome view. Hosts Anon and Jeanette were awesome friendly and made us feel at home. Peaceful and quiet ,Cabin was spacious, beds very comfortable and a nice size deck that overlooks the lagoon. The cabin is also nestled between the trees that gives a real getaway feeling. Within walking distance of town and the waterfront just a relaxing very cool weekend. Will definitely be back !!!
