Joined some acquaintances for an early dinner at Salsa Mexican Restaurant Kyalami. For experience:
We weren’t greeted with the hats, we only got them when one of us went to the restroom and inquired on them.
The service received was adequately friendly and efficient.
Mondays to Thursdays is happy hour from 4-6pm. So half price on drinks.
Friday has its own beer specials.
These specials are quite attractive for those going for a drinks and a quick nibble.

Food:
We were all quite hungry that none of us remembered to take “proof of plate”. The Nachos were quite delicious. Got them without any form of meat.
The food in general was good. But if you eat like a lion, order like one. The portions are polite.
I wanted desert to go, got the margarita cheese cake (non-alcoholic). It was fair but not at all what I had expected, so I was a bit underwhelmed by it.
Shots were ordered and they were kind enough to concoct a nonalcoholic one. Which was amusing but nice.

For a table setting of 4, you’re looking at about R1100.

Awesome supper tonight
Ribs were falling off the bone! Cocktails were on point. Tacos and burritos had perfect seasoning. Evans... our waiter was top class and extremely attentive. Didn't have to wait long for drinks or food. Will definitely be back.

Not the best take on Mexican food; all heat, no flavour. The cheese cake was pitiful. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere though. The service was phenomenal.

Consistently one of the best restaurants in the area.

Free tequilas come around every so often, a wide variety of Mexican drinks, food, a build-your-own-meal option and really well themed. A must-visit and one of my favourite Mexican restaurants.

I always do take away but this time ate from there. Their wings are huge! I love their food.

Salsa Mexican Grill is the ideal venue for celebrating 'nearly complete system stack migrations', 'team diversity', 'generally almost-but-not-quite project successes' and 'Sumi's latest panic attack'.
There is a wide variety of tasty food and thirst quenching beverages to enjoy but of course, with Scott in tow, the wrong choice will be made for you, repeatedly, in a sort of "business-logging-critical-tickets" manner and even so it will still hit, (somewhere-near). the spot.
After a good meal, having just a few layers of your esophagus stripped clean-off, deeply regretting that you went along with the Thursday-over-Friday decision and ending off your evening confused about how long Al took to prepare his camera, you will definitely head home satisfied, albeit past deadline somehow.
Would certainly recommend. Assuming your bring along your own motley crew... :)

Great tasting and well presented food. Awesome music. Our waiter was accommodating and patient. COVID-19 protocols helped in the decision to go, eat and stay longer. Also plenty of heaters so outdoor seating was possible even with the winter chill.
