One of the best restaurants I’ve been to during 3 months of South Africa. Definitely had the best sole ever!!!

Also sushi, mussels and prawns were very good. Everything super fresh and high in quality. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back.

Beautiful cozy interior. We managed to only get seating outside as everything was fully booked. They provide blankets in winter, no heater though.

Pasta and seafood dishes were good. Salmon pasta was quite mediocre though. The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly.

I’d return to try other dishes.

A truly wonderful restaurant, with incredible decor, seafood, staff and great local and regional wines. The Gin making room and experience is a ton of fun.

I am editing my review of a month ago. We returned to the Gannet and were pleased with our meal.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent.

Back to the good 'ol Gannet

This is a gem in Mosselbay. We had to wait a little bit for our food, but when it arrived we could see why. The presentation is lovely and the food tasted so good. Well worth a visit. The restaurant also has a bar overlooking the bay.

We had an incredible afternoon at Cafe Gannet. We started at Cape Saint Blaize for a gin tasting and that was such an incredible experience and the gin room is do beautiful. We then went across for dinner and had the snoek spring roll as a starter and it was out of this world!!!! My partner had the cod and I had the salmon pasta for mains and my pasta was incredible but my word - the cod!!!! If anyone goes and doesn't know what to get. Ask them if their line fish for the day is cod and if yes GET THAT!!!
