Ronnie was fabulous- passionate and local to Mossel Bay which adds an authentic South African vibe. The gin and presentation in the locally made bottles was inspired by the lighthouse and is world class in its presentation. Ronnie’s knowledge was thorough and very informative. I am a convert to the classic gin taste and walked away with a bottle and keen to return next time to dabble at making my own brew! I will be highly recommending it to all my guests at Villa Palmera - especially the chocolate pairing choice at R99 for a tasting is excellent value.

Check out what goes down behind the scenes of Gin making! The class is about 2 hours, starts with a free cocktail on arrival, after which you are seated at a table and learn about how to make your very own Gin! You get to choose your own base flavour plus add up to 5 other spices and flavors to your liking! While that's brewing you go on to a Gin tasting (3 Gins) and then come back to colour, name and label your Gin.

The instructor was entertaining, engaging and passionate. The venue was beautiful and trendy. A fun experience indeed.

Only part I didnt appreciate was using our fingers to pinch and taste a few of spices/flavors from a shared bowl, it was clear that many people would've touched and taken from the same bowl which is not ideal right now.

I’ve been wanting to do the Gin School since we heard of its opening, and finally got to do it with my wife on Friday while on holiday in Mosselbay..

If I remember correctly Vernol u0026 Ronnie does the class and tasting respectively. It’s just on 2hours to do the gin school.

You are welcomed with a proper gin u0026 tonic while waiting for everyone to arrive. The class then starts with you sitting at your station and everything is explained on how it works, the history of gin and Inverroche itself.

Bottom line is it is actually educational, it is fun, stirs the creative juices, and although you do bot become a distiller after just one experience, you can call yourself an alchemist!!

Worth every cent, every minute, and worth the memory of making your own proper, unique gin! Would recommend it to anyone, and especially with these two guys, they make it the experience that it is!

On arrival at Inverroche centre we were immediately struck by a beautifully planned and decorated venue- a mark of quality and taste. We were welcomed by a very charming and friendly Vernol ,equally wonderful assistant and an immmediate introduction to the fruit of Inverroche magic- a huge glass filled with Gin, tonic and berries. Atmosphere, expertise, charm and humor accompanied us throughout the afternoon! A wonderful experience we’ll never forget, and great Gin we’ll always keep in stock! Thank you very much and best wishes from all of us.
