We rented a house from Pam Golding Properties, Mossel Bay, for the holidays. The house was in terrible condition with a lot of broken things and it smelt overwhelmingly of mould - to the point that I could not sleep in any of the bedrooms, but had to make a makeshift bedroom in the lounge. This for a house that they charge over R4000 a night for. It was also dirty when we arrived - all cupboards, including the kitchen cupboards were very dusty. We notified the agent, Helena, but nothing was done, except for her telling us to put vinegar and a lemon in the rooms to get rid of mouldy smell, which of course, it didn't. Great was our shock when they charged us R1500 for the 'cleaning' of the house which was dirty to start with. What really gets to me is that they simply refused to take responsibility for anything and even though we complained no alteration was made to the preposterous cleaning price. Do not ever use them - they rip people off.
