This memorial was dedicated to the South African soldiers who fought and died with the Allied forces in the First World War of 1914-1918. Also there are names of soldiers who died in the Second World War of 1939-1945 added on a marble plate. The words "We shall remember them" is added on a mosaic tile theme. The entrance is a bit obscured at the back and this is not a ver big site. I would have liked this place to be cleaned more often as I saw some cigarette buds dumped in the two pots on this site that, at this moment, don't seem very functional, though they are quite big. The sea and St Blaize lighthouse in the backdrop make this a nice site to visit.
