While historic with a lot of information, the home is in poor condition. Wall coverings are falling off, roof leaks are destroying artifacts, and the area is not safe to be out on the street. It seems like this home is not considered worth putting a lot of effort into, and seems to be decaying away.

Excellent heritage site. Learnt a bit of history that I previously didn't know about. Quite an experience to get a glimpse of how they lived at that period in time. I recommend visiting even though the curators could do a little better in maintaining the place and ensuring nothing anachronic is left lying about (e.g. network LAN cabling, modern plumbing in the main house etc.)

A must visit when visiting or passing pretoria you will learn a lot more things about the last Transvaal President...and some of interesting facts

Uncle Paul’s house, situated near the Pretoria downtown has not really much to offer but anyway is fine to visit. The house itself remains nicely prepared, you can see all his rooms and forniture, but despide the house, the rest is not really interesting. The price was excessive in my opinion.

Museum has wonderful collection of artifacts from Kruger's life in South Africa. Sadly, entire estate has been allowed to deteriorate, badly in some areas. Serious deferred maintenance must be attended to soon, or damage will be irrepairable. Unfortunate that such an historically important residence has been allowed to fall into such poor condition.

Love love love this place. Throwback to the 1900s. Stayed over 1.5 hours. History is amazing.
