This place is BIG! You will be overwhelmed by choice for fabric and the prices are really competitive compared to what you will find in the east of Pretoria. Take a friend with you to make the experience so much more memorable! There are lots of people available to help in the store, Patricia treated me with great smiling care. You can find ample goodies for knitting, embroidery, hat-making and whatever crafty thing you can think of. I was a little bit disappointed in their wool collection. I plan to make most of my future fabric purchases here.

Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before making an online purchase from Home Hyper City. I cannot comment on the in-store purchase experience, but the online shopping is terrible. When the phone is answered the people don't understand what you are saying until you start to raise your voice. Item I purchased was actually not available and they said they would replace it with a Defy (the worst brand in South Africa) I said no and requested a refund. Refund was fortunately done in reasonable time and I was able to purchase the same product at the same price from a reputable shop. Save yourself the trouble and rather don't buy online from Home Hyper City. There are many other places that will actually deliver.

Lovely fabrics and at very competitive prices too. It is better than oriental plaza. They've done beautiful upholstery job too

The online customer support doesn't exist !!! We ordered and paid for items that we then found were not actually in stock and we only found out when we followed up on where the order was... no tracking details sent... order took ages before it was eventually dispatched... the order was then irreparably damaged between poor packing on dispatch and their courier. Now, more than a month after we placed the online order and paid, we are still waiting for a reply to numerous emails, whatsapps and phone calls we have sent to them...

Send my husband to buy material, pay for it.. I get the payment notification and they said it didn't went through! Made him to pay it again as I have now paid twice for the material. Management does not do any effort to assist my husband a client, as we buy there frequently!. This is very bad service! As I send through proof of payment and they did not accept it!
