The place was a bit noisy since the tables were close together . I could hear everything the couple behind us was saying...the starters and dessert were delicious. The duck breast I ordered was bloody. I sent it back and 20 mins later it was still a bit bloody. I could not eat it. Very disappointed as the dish was almost R200. The lentals and veggies were delicious but the food was lukewarm so when the duck returned my veggies were now cold. Why not serve hot food? The restaurant was not so busy so I expected the dishes to be exceptional. There was no excuse that day.

This restaurant is quaint and tucked away. It has limited sidewalk seating which is fun on a sunny day. The rest of the restaurant is spacious and well decorated. Prices are above average and our meals were, unfortunately, average. A breakfast setting of a group of six people took nearly 50 minutes before our meals were served. Maybe just a bad day. I will give a try again as I love the setting.

Thank-you so much for our recent function (birthday party turned into a surprise engagement). The staff, expecially the manager of the day...was super amazing! They bent over backwards to make our evening special. And the food and service was amazing ???????????? I absolutely recommend them. And will be returning!!

Maybe the best service standard in Pretoria. Honest high quality dishes at realistic prices. None of the rip off that has become the bad standard in Pretoria food malls. Superb cassoulet, the real thing. Perfect springbok shank, not dry, not overdone, not stringy. The red wine sauce as if it had been freshly made in the Provence. The mousse au chocolat was Just perfect on a light crumble base. A fresh salmon salad with caviar had only the highest quality ingredients. My wife was immediately taken. Her spinach and blue cheese ravioli on an equally high standard of cooking excellence. A truly great Bastille Day for us in 2019. Thank you.

The food was flavorful and delicious, the atmosphere relaxed yet quaint Eropean, and the service very good.

Took 1hour for 4 breakfasts. Service poor.
No bread variety as per menu.
Glasses smell like raw egg.
Food uninspiring and tasteless. Waiters u0026 owner? manager? inattentive. Very disappointed as it look so quaint.
