It was wonderful to come across a Turkish Restaurant far away. We tried Sish plate and cop sish, their flavors were also good, it is recommended.

Lovely ambience and food was delicious! Enjoyed the kebabs and chicken boti and the sides had a different taste (Loved the brinjal sides)

My family and I have been staunch supporters of the Turkish Table and have always enjoyed their food, especially the large mixed grill... UNTIL today, as usual I ordered the large mixed grill but what I received was 2 containers where everything was burnt to a crisp, everything was so spicy that we could barely enjoy the food and to top it off the lamb chops that is part of the dish was not there with no replacement even though the price has not been adjusted .... needless to say this has been the last time we will support this business as standards this low is unacceptable.
It's a pity as we really enjoy turkish food

We had my moms 60th lunch here. The Turkish Table is quite the hidden gem in Duncan Yard in Hatfield, Pretoria. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The food was amazing. Perfect for a chilled Sunday lunch. Pop in if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

Really amazing restaurant! I was recommended this restaurant by a friend and it really did not disappoint at all.

Incredible, authentic Turkish food. Very flavourful. It did not disappoint. The outdoor atmosphere was really nice, and I felt very safe as all tables are well spaced. The food came in good time as well. All traditional Turkish recipes. Very well priced for the amount of food you get. I do feel though, that the medium mixed grill - 4 portion is better suited for two people, especially when it's two guys that eat a lot!
The spices on the chicken is really really good! My friend recommended the lentil soup (which I didn't have because of the grill platter that I ordered) however I highly recommend the Ayran-lassi yogurt drink and the Kunefe cheese dessert though (it sounds like it shouldn't be a thing, but I promise you, with the syrup and neutral cheese, it's worth tasting!) as it is something you won't find anywhere else and tastes great.

Service was a bit slow, but food arrived fast.

It's family friendly so please give it a try, you will not regret the decision! They also offer take aways.

Contacted the previous owners and was told that there was a change in management 2 years ago. I am told that they are no longer sure if it is halal and that twice customers complained that they used haraam meat. Very disappointed as most are still under the impression that it is strictly halal.

Edit: so the current owner has responded here with where they source their meat from- greatly appreciate the response. We did ask at the restaurant when we were there this weekend and were told that they are halal but not given more information. While the two complaints still bother me I have amended my stars to reflect that status of the restaurant.

We've been going to the Turkish Table for over 5 years. We love it. The questionablilty of halal/haraam meat is a very sensitive issue for us. Thank you for your response and for letting us know.

We enjoyed our meal. The starter and main meal were outstanding, however there was no apple tea and the dessert we wanted was sold out.
