I'd much prefer a "I don't know, let me find out" response vs a "This item is seasonal and won't be available after the period has passed", this is pretty much feedback I got when I asked the grocery manager at Woolies Quagga to order me the cascading cake in December 2021 and did a follow up in Jan 2022 to see if they can IBT the cake for me AND left my contact details.
However I've since seen this cake at other various branches and even managed to buy one in Jean crossing yesterday. If they preferred that I pay upfront, I'd have done that just to show how committed I am. For a company that prides itself in exceptional customer service, this smells of bias and this type of service cannot be location-specific. Do better please.
