Lack lustre. Not worth the bother. Would have given them 3 stars if the food was a 1/4 of the price. Chef (I think) stood outside the kitchen while handling my food with his bare hands. No idea where he was coming from. Underwhelmed. Disappointed.

Celebrated my birthday here and it was beautiful especially for a Monday. The music was great and the ambiance allowed for mingling and meeting new people. I felt safe and the staff were efficient.

The food is quite expensive, but delicious, so well worth the effort! Get the waiters to make up a custom gin and tonic mix for you according to your preferences! They come up with some pretty interesting combinations!

Very nice setting, private parking, welcoming and attentive staff. Overall, if you are wanting a big meal, rather spend your cash elsewhere. If you want something intimate, with lots of flavors going on, this may be a better option. Wish there were 2 1/2 stars would have been more reflective of the food-sometimes way over salted and trying to hard-overly complex and not enough to make it enjoyable. The fact that they try astound you and fall short just makes it more disappointing. Wouldn’t really take a group either, probably becomes a mush mash of confusing flavors. Would try again if possibly a seasonal menu change happens. Who doesn’t stock sambucca?

Lovely restaurant with a great vibe. The service was good and the food was fantastic. Enjoyed having after dinner drinks in the Premier lounge.

Food tasty, but I do prefer Escondido Tapas to Workshop 55 having eaten at both a few times. Gin cocktails are excellent although a bit expensive - food was tasty, but a focus on texture and colourful plating would improve it.

Glorious gin! A selection is spicy, sweet, botanical and classic. The food is just as marvellous. Whether is a birthday or a midweek treat, it is a must for any true Joburger. It’s great in every way.
