Cozy atmosphere u0026 great service are definitely top if the list here and the food doesn't disappoint either. Comfort meals from the smoker are a big feature on the menu, but finer elements like the deserts are a winner too

Classy and good service. Food quality is excellent but the prices are just too steep to feel good about it. Unisex bathrooms. A very good dinner and highly recommended if you can afford it.

Always been a wonderful experience at the National. The menu has been concise and intriguing, and the food, tasty and hearty. Depending on your mood, there is a range of options available from gnocchi to hotdogs that won't disappoint. The staff have been friendly and helpful. The venue is also rather delightful. A wonderful weeknight treat, and a personal favourite.

Nice ambience with lively chatty customers. It was Friday evening. Some decent craft beer on offer. I was looking forward to the BBQ platter as I know how South Africans enjoy their meat, so I was disappointed to see 1 medium sized chicken leg covered in sauce and resting on some shredded pork. While the taste was acceptable, not recommended if you're looking forward to a healthy BBQ portion.

The decor and ambience is great. While I think the food is a little on the pricey side, I really like the menu. It's a bit of a strange mix of Asian, American and Italian dishes, but all interesting and well done. I also found the service good and well paced - I thought each course made its way out at the right time. Definitely try the pot stickers and the tiramisu. I had a salad but think I'll be back to try a hot dog!

The National never disappoints. The deck outside is a great place to sit, the spot can provide both quiet and ambience depending on your preference. The food is always well executed and chef James has another great menu here.
