A perfect day to explore with Sasha some pup restaurants. Since he is a pensioner and blind it is important to keep Sasha stimulated while enjoying a social life. Needless to say that I enjoy every excuse to get out with Sasha to observe the atmosphere and vibe of different places.
The Green Room is located in Greenside and it's easy accessible. Lots of secure parking available. It's a family and dog friendly restaurant. Lots of children were running around having happy play time at the designated play areas.
I was seated outside near at the end of the fence. That was a great spot to observe the atmosphere and vibe. Unmistakable it's a dogs little treasure restaurant. There were lots of different types of dogs and if one barked the others joined in. Such sweet songs ????
I ordered something easy and light and opted for the avocado and ciabatta light meal. Just perfect! Delicious! The cappuccino was lovely too. Price and service is balanced. Very recommendable ????????

This was overall a decent experience.

4* because the kids really enjoy themselves. It’s one of those restaurants you visit when you really just need a break but still want to be able to see your child at all times. Some of the toys were broken and not in a great condition- but there was enough entertainment for the kids.

4* for service
The service was quite good. The waitresses were attentive without being overbearing.

3* for the food
It really isn’t the best but it’s decent enough to fill you up.

2* for the bathroom
The building inside doesn’t seem to get the same care the outside area does- as a result the bathrooms leave much to be desired. They do not seem to be cleaned very often either.

Dinner time is a happy place because of The Green Room frozen made-with-love meals. The food is delicious and the perfect portion size. We just add our own rice or whatever starch which is easy. Friendly and great service. Their restaurant section is also very nice for a relaxed family meal. Delicious coffee and dessert too.

I highly recommend The Green Room for a superb meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The food is amazing and to be surrounded by shady trees and the bowling greens makes the experience highly enjoyable. Do yourself a favour and spend any afternoon at The Green Room just to chill under the trees. This place is also a heaven for kids. Ideal for a family outing with the kids.

Spent an afternoon here. Has a relaxed atmosphere. The food (4 burgers) did take a long time to arrive (over an hour) and the cops were undercooked.
But the vibe is great! And the staff are friendly.

Don't come if you aren't prepared to wait ages for your service! I was last here 2-3 years ago when we waited 2 hours for our breakfast and eventually cancelled and left, vowing never to return. Was invited here by friends over the weekend and my latte took 30 mins to arrive -our group got their breakfasts before that! So nothing's changed. Lovely venue for kids that actually has a view vs. just overlooking a parking lot or the street, but such a waste with this service.

Open and relaxed setting. Food was great although I wished they had more breakfast options like eggs benedict. Cake is divine! Great for kids :)
