Ocean Basket Cresta Shopping Centre

This was my first visit to this Ocean Basket in Cresta mall. I was quite impressed with the service. Food was delivered fast and the dishes are always the best and more than satisfying. Very well managed and friendly staff.

Customer service is pathetic. Food is not grand- no quality standards. The staff seems unaware of how to provide a good customer service and dining experience. They are also unaware of these terrible reviews (show your staff members these reviews).
Definitely wont be back there again.
Oh and awful sushi!
Perhaps change your manager?

Service was bad - from our experiences at other Ocean Baskets I found that their food was not prepared as well as the others.

The worst sushi I've ever had and the manager didn't seem bothered about it when I told him. This was on Sunday evening on 1 Nov 2020

Has a spacious area which is very comfortable compared to being in a cramped up space. Would be great if they implemented an outside seating area. Overall an amazing OB that has great staff as well as service!

Been a loyal customer for many years of The Cresta Branch. We decided to visit them again for a birthday dinner. What a mistake. Bill R2500.

Waited 1hour for our sushi starters even though the shop was empty.

Sushi came and the salmon was almost non existent even though you pay a HEFTY Price for one platter. Cucumber was oversized to make up for the non existent salmon which made the experience extremely dull.

Food order came and we were served in drips and drabs. Again the shop was empty and 2 waiters were running around to bring our food. Tzaziki only came when we were half way through the meal. This is after we asked the waitress to bring it on numerous occasions.

Chips was stale and we thought it was cooked in old oil. We had to tell the waitress about 10 times what was missing which gave us all indigestion.

Desert time and we were advised they had no stock of some items. My daughter was very upset when there was no lava cake. We let it go and advised the waitress it was my daughters birthday. We requested a little something to make the whole event a bit more special. We were advised they had no sparklers and could not help.

The new menu is nonsense aimed at maximum profit. We dearly miss the old owners. New management here will just run this once popular spot into the ground.

We will NEVER Return!!!!!!!

I'm only going 4 stars because the quality of all the other OBs... this one is ok but not spectacular. Food was ok. I think the renovations may have impacted the evening I was there.
