Arrived here at Flora at 4 45. My mom needs to be admitted. Sat by reception for an half an hour waiting for the nurse to phone the Dr. Upon asking what is happening, she says oh he is not answering his phone now the Dr is only available after 6. So we come around to emergency because the Dr originally said admit your Mom through the emergency unit. Been sitting here for an hour now waiting for the file to be opened and my mom to be admitted. When I asked the gentleman what is taking so long, he informs me that I need to understand there is a queue. I just need to wait patiently she will be admitted tonight. So I'm confused because this is a private hospital and not a government clinic. This stay is much more expensive than a hotel but still I must just wait patiently for a file to be opened. Makes one wonder why they charge so much for a terrible service.

Went to the ER and was attended to immediately. The nurses there was so friendly and helpful the doctor saw me after 10 min and unfortunately was admitted and the hospital stay was truly a 5 star stay… Nurses were attentive the food was great and they had a menu with atleast 6 options to choose from regarding each meal of the day, my sheets were changed daily and cleaners disinfected everything each hour… highly recommended this hospital

Admitted my father on a Saturday afternoon. I was told repeatedly that the physician will attend to him. Waited with my father till 22:00 that night and didn’t meet a single physician during that time.

Went back the next day and still nothing from a doctor. Went to the physicians office on Monday morning as I was told to. I was greeted with a pulled face by the receptionist and told that the doctor will not see family members of any admitted patients. How am I supposed to get an update on my fathers condition when he was struggling to breathe and oxygen levels were dropping??

I went back to the doctors office on Monday afternoon and I then received a very cold update from the doctor. I went to request a change in physician because of his ridiculous service. That was not happening and I met the current physician. He was rude and didn’t show any empathy.

A whole week in hospital and I still haven’t received a single call from this doctor.

Nurses in surgical ICU are great. Doctors are questionable. Would not recommend this hospital.

As I lay here on my hospital bed, coughing for hours, not a single night shift nurse has come to check on me and ask if I needed any meds. It is now 02:30am. I woke up off the bed twice to use the bathroom just to see nurses stationed outside the door on their cellphones. I was admitted on Monday night and have been here since with no proper diagnosis. The ER staff were professional and efficient however the nurses in the wards are so rude, impatient, lack patient empathy and are just in the industry so that they have a job. This is really really sad and I really do hope that one day the service will change. Afterall, it is a private hospital and not a government facility. The services we receive are paid for. I'm sorry life flora hospital, it's your staff that give you a terrible reputation. I hope to get a forced discharge tomorrow so that I can seek better care elsewhere.

It's going for 3 hours and my 9 month old son that has a fever has not been seen to by the doctor. We arrived at 7:20pm and now it's 9:43pm I was told by the head nurse that there are only 2 doctors available in the emergency room. What disappointing service from a private hospital.

My son got discharged just after 10pm the Dr said his fine to leave but when he gets worse bring him back, why discharge him in the first place?. My son temp was still on 39 degrees and vomited I front of the staff yet you still discharge him with no meds and just a script that can be used when a public pharmacy opens. I'm now at olive Dale hospital because my son did get worse I had to drive an extra 10 minutes just to get proper service. The Covid test done at flora was also a false negative they mis diagnosed my child with tonsillitis yet he has Covid. Flora do you really care about your patients? Or just worried about running your business. Next time your child is sick take them to your 1 star pathetic service and maybe then you will see the importantance of treating your patients with urgency.

The nurses and staff of the maternity clinic blew my husband and I away.
I don’t think we would have been okay without your guidance, help and support.
Thank you sister Lydia, sister Chris Marie, sister Mischa, sister Simonè. You are phenomenal people in addition to being amazing at your job.
The Drs and Staff are fantastic!

I AM UTTERLY DISGUSTED!

The ER staff and nurses were good. That is the only reason I give them 1 star!

My mother was in the ER and then in ICU for a total of 5 days. She was then discharged with NO diagnosis. Her doctor prescribed new medications for her pre-existing conditions even though she had her own medication. That medicine, which she paid for is now wasted as she is back on her old medication.
He never took any of my calls nor did he respond to any of my messages.

While in ICU, my mother waited for two days for the specialist to see her. She was only attended to when I went there and insisted on seeing the matron. The excuse was that they have two specialists and there was a miscommunication on who was to see her.

I filed complaints on their website twice and didn’t even get feedback from those.

Very unprofessional.
